Laurence Kiesel, an economics major, won first place in the $50 bracket. “It was a very close one, I won on time. He honestly had me beat in pieces, but I got it done,” Kiesel remarked about winning. “It was definitely Lenin, who I met in the finals, who gave me a run for my money. He was the only person who beat me today.”

Lenin Saquipay Camposano, a double major in mathematics and computer science and economics, won second place in the $50 bracket. “Every single player is really good at what they do," said Saquipay Camposano. "Laurence, I just played, he’s really strong in the mid-game. Everyone has their own traits and it’s really nice to actually play all of them.”

Iverson Li, an economics major, won first place in the $25 bracket. “Amazing. I got more money than the people who beat me,” Li said about winning his tournament bracket. “Probably buy a purple bodysuit for Halloween and run around campus.” Li continued, saying what he plans to do with his winnings. “I’m being so deadass.”
