Afrodisiac’s First Night in Full Force

Afrodisiac is a Purchase Annual two-day event that embraces and promotes Black and students of color. This year, Afrodisiac was organized by Co-chairs Misa-Love Smith and Luxx.

Night one occurred on Friday, April 10 and consisted of student, alumni and celebrity performers. With performances by Dj Yaya, Naori, JJay, Tristan Keane-Negri, Joshtinia, Gemini, Lola Deville, Le’asha and Maiya the Don, students enjoyed a variety of performances, including rapping, singing and dancing.


The night was hosted by Smith’s father, Carlton Jumel Smith, who brought up students in between acts to showcase talent and the audience and keep the energy high.

Night two is on Saturday, April 11 and will feature more student performances and be headlined by Kyle Richh and Jenn Carter.
