Breaking News: Police respond to campus threat, buildings evacuated

At approximately 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, university officials responded to a potential threat on campus involving the Farside, Crossroads and Dining Hall buildings.

Students were promptly evacuated as the Westchester Police Department arrived on the scene with a Special Response Truck.

In an official statement, Purchase College advised students to “stay clear of the area until further notice.”

At 3:32 p.m. students were alerted via email that the investigation has been concluded and students are safe to return to the dorm buildings.
